Okanagan resident wins top prize with scratch ticket

When it comes to scratch and win tickets, it was a pretty good prize.

Mukhtar Arifov of Penticton got a lovely surprise when he scratched a win of $100,000 in the Snowflake 777 game from BC Lotteries.

Arifov found out he won the game’s top prize at the Cherry Lane Mall, where he purchased the ticket.

“I realized I won so I went back and said, ‘I won!’ and asked the cashier to check it,” he said. “This will be a very big change. I am now able to buy a vehicle and a better place.

The South Okanagan resident is thinking about purchasing a new Chevrolet truck with the winnings.
