Pesticide spraying notification registration opened in Kelowna

Kelowna residents that wish to know when commercial pesticide spraying will occur on neighbouring residential properties can now sign up for notifications.

Residents can sign up for the notifications online until March 11. People can also call the Commercial Pesticide Notification Registry Hotline at 250-469-8556 to sign up.

Registrated residents will be notified either the day before or on the same day that pesticides will be applied to residential properties in the neighbourhood.

The notifications will only be sent out for commercial spraying at residential properties and will not be sent when pesticides are sprayed on agricultural properties or orchards.
