Woman accused of using bear spray at Home Depot
Police say a woman sprayed several people with bear spray during an attempted robbery at the Home Depot in Kelowna.
Mounties were called to the store around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 19) after a female suspect, while trying to steal power tools, sprayed multiple people with the irritating spray.
“She was detained by staff, one of whom received minor injuries in the altercation. Our frontline members responded, arrested the suspect, and transported her to cells. Investigators are seeking to hold her in custody for this incident and for her outstanding warrant,” said RCMP Sgt. Kevin Duggan.
