Man and woman arrested for armed robbery in West Kelowna

A man and a woman have been arrested by the West Kelowna RCMP for an armed robbery that occurred in the area a week prior.

Mounties say they responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 1100 block of Stevens Rd. at around 11 p.m. Thursday, March 3.

The male suspect allegedly entered the store at closing with a firearm an threatened the employees. He robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise before fleeing the scene.

The RCMP’s investigation led to a search warrant being executed at a hotel in the 1500 block of Highway 33 in Kelowna on Thursday, March 10. A man and a woman were arrested at the hotel without incident.

The case has been submitted to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada for consideration of charges.

The West Kelowna RCMP ask that anyone who has information regarding the robbery contact the detachment or file an anonymous report with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
