Flurries expected on Okanagan Connector

May 6, 2022 | 3:00 PM Liam Verster

Motorists travelling between Kelowna and Merritt should be ready to see some snow.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, saying there is a potential for flurries on the Okanagan Connector.

The snow flurries are expected in high elevations beginning late Friday afternoon and persisting through Saturday evening.

The weather agency says the statement comes as a system from the south coast will cross into the Southern Interior Friday night and exit the region late Saturday.

Snowfall accumulations are expected, but will vary depending on location.

People are advised to be prepared for potentially changing travel conditions and to drive to conditions.

Road conditions can be seen at DriveBC.
