Vernon’s gas prices surpass $2 level

Gas prices in Vernon have gone over the two dollar threshold for the first time.

At least three stations in the city have increased their prices to $2.03.9 per litre, an all-time high for the city.

Vernon’s previous high was $1.95.9 earlier this month.

A number of stations are offering gas at a cheaper price, with some as low as $1.85.9.

Vernon’s average price is $1.88.9 a litre, according to gasbuddy.com.

Kelowna’s average price is $1.95.9 per litre.

The Vancouver area has what are said to be the highest gas prices in North America, averaging $2.18.8 per litre.

B.C.’s cheapest gas price, according to Gas Buddy, is in the northeastern community of Farmington at $1.83.9, while a Tempo on Mabel Lake Road in Enderby and a Super Save in Salmon Arm are next at $1.84.9.
