Public assistance sought in accident that damaged fence, bleachers in West Kelowna

The City of West Kelowna is seeking information related to an incident that saw City property damaged.

The City is asking for leads to find the owner of a light-coloured SUV, possibly an older model Nissan Pathfinder or Frontier with a canopy, that was involved in an accident at 5:15 a.m. April 10.

The driver appeared to be unharmed, but the accident did result in an estimated $35,000 in damages to the ballpark bleachers and a fence at Darroch Park on East Boundary Rd.’

A video of the accident has been released in the hopes that members of the public would recognize the vehicle and help find the owner.

The City stated that it is not seeking any charges against the driver, but is trying to recover costs through insurance.
