Trudeau makes quick stop in Okanagan

Jul 18, 2022 | 5:45 PM Pete McIntyre

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited the Central Okanagan Monday for what turned out to be mostly a series of photo-ops at three locations.

Trudeau visited a child care facility in Lake Country, then took a tour of the BC Tree Fruits Cooperative in Kelowna where he purchased some cherries, and ended his visit at a cherry farm in Summerland.

The PM did not hold a media conference while here, did not make any announcements and took no questions from the media.

It was Trudeau’s first public stop in Kelowna since 2017.
