Death of woman in Enderby deemed suspicious

An investigation has been launched after a dead woman was discovered in Enderby.

North Okanagan Rural RCMP responded to a tip of a deceased person in a residence in the city on Sunday, Sept. 25.

Officers attended the scene and located the body of a 72-year-old woman whose name has not been released.

It’s believed the death is suspicious in nature, and the RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation.

“The investigation is in its preliminary stages, however, investigators believe that it was an isolated incident and that there is no risk to the public,” Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, media relations officer, said.
