Passion for reptiles turns into a business
Emily Little is a fourth year zoology student at the University of British Columbia Okanagan and has used her pets to start a small business.
The Kelowna resident has 15 reptiles including several snakes, lizards, a Pacman frog and a Chilean rose haired tarantula. To see all her creatures, click here.
Her interactive and educational shows are performed under the title “Little Reptile Queen.”
Emily Little / Photo submitted“With my business, I am hoping to provide all ages a unique and fun experience to interact with many misunderstood creatures such as snakes, lizards and tarantulas,” Little said.
She has a variety of packages for events, birthdays, photo shoots, movies and schools starting from $175. Presentations are offered in both English and French.
She will be doing three shows October 23 and three on October 30 at the Village Green Mall, with a limit of 100 people per show.
In addition, her business custom makes “Little Reptile Queen” inspired jewelry and clothing.
Little has also diversified with an avian line of custom perches, stands and toys for parrots and other birds.
