UPDATE: Bodies found in Coldstream home

No updates from RCMP as yet today on the identity of the two suspected homicide victims in Coldstream.
The bodies were found by police in a mobile home on Clerke Road Tuesday morning (Jan. 18), with another man taken to hospital with serious injuries, and a fourth man arrested as a suspect.
Some nearby residents at the Kalview Mobile Home Park say they were surprised to see that many police in their neighbourhood for such a serious matter, with some saying the home involved was known for drug-related problems.

UPDATE: 4:35 p.m.
The bodies of two people were found inside a mobile home in Coldstream this morning (Jan. 17).
Another person was found injured, and a fourth man was taken into custody at the home in the 8500 block of Clerke Road, in the Kalview Trailer Park, just off Highway 97.

The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at the residence just after 5:30 a.m.
“Upon arrival, police discovered two bodies within the home, a man suffering from potentially life threatening injuries, and a fourth man who was taken into custody,” Staff Sgt. Kris Clark of BC RCMP said
The injured man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
“The deaths are deemed to be suspicious and the Southeast District Major Crime Unit now has conduct of the investigation,” Clark added. “The initial investigation leads us to believe that this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing risk to the public.”
Police are also aware of a vehicle that was discovered burning at another location on Francis Road in the B.X around the same time.
“At this time no linkage has been established between the two events but the investigation is in its infancy and investigators will be looking at all avenues,” Clark said.

UPDATE: 3 p.m.
RCMP were out in full force to respond to an incident on Clerke Road in Coldstream this morning.
Police, including members of the Emergency Response Team, surrounded a home in the Kalview Trailer Park just off Highway 97 for what they called an unfolding incident which was resolved less than two hours later.
No details have been released.
Police officers have remained at the scene for the investigation.

RCMP say an unfolding incident in the 8500-block of Clerke Road in Coldstream has been “resolved.”
“There is no known risk to the public and we want to thank everyone for their co-operation,” Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer, said.

Unfolding police incident in Coldstream

Police are currently on the scene of an unfolding incident in the 8500-block of Clerke Road in Coldstream.
“Officers have established a perimeter around a residence at that location and we are asking the public to avoid the area as we work to safely resolve the situation,” said Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer.
“We are asking anyone in the area to not share the location or activities of our officers on social media as this may jeopardize the safety of everyone at the scene.”
Police say updates will be provided as they become available.
