It appears an affordable travel option between the Okanagan and the coast is being taken off the table. Lynx Air’s flight schedule shows service between Kelowna and Vancouver will end with the last flight scheduled for February 20th. The airline has not commented, but as of yesterday it did not appear the other two Kelowna routes to Calgary and Toronto are affected.

Ottawa has pledged $23 million over two years to establish a new childhood cancer research venture. The Canadian Pediatric Cancer Consortium will help find new and better treatments so children who have cancer can grow, thrive, and lead productive lives. Approximately 10,000 children in Canada are living with cancer.
