The B.C. Hockey League series between the Vernon Vipers and West Kelowna Warriors will last at least six games.

That was assured after the Vipers shut out the Warriors 7-0 in game 4 Wednesday night at Kal Tire Place, tying the opening round best of 7 affair at two.

Ethan David made 28 saves for the shutout and seven different Vipers scored in the game watched by 1,701 fans. Dylan Compton picked up one goal and two assists.

Just like game 3, the Vipers scored early, a minute into the game, but this time, they added several more and never gave the visitors a chance.

Game 5 will be on Friday at Royal LePage Place at 7 p.m. with game 6 back in Vernon Sunday for a 6 p.m. game.

A seventh game, if needed, would be Tuesday, April 11, in West Kelowna.

Elsewhere, the Penticton Vees swept Trail with a 5-1 win in game 4 of their series and Wenatchee knocked off Cranbrook 4-2 to take a 3-1 series lead.

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks edged Prince George 2-1 double overtime to take that series in four games.
